We are releasing a new machine learning-based lens fitting technology that changes the traditional lens fitting process for the best price currently available on the market. Get to know our new approach on 10-12th January at OPTI2020!

A traditional lens fitting method is when the optician sits opposite the customer and then puts some marks on the lookout points. This takes roughly 2 minutes. We received feedback from our customers that this is the time limit our product should hit with the same simplicity. We have been working very hard on our new product which comes with a much faster and more accurate measurement engine and a better automatic evaluation mechanism, but the best thing is the professional multi-capturing mechanism we have integrated thanks to the latest iOS version, iOS 13.

It is imperative that during the measurement we use a smartphone or tablet which has two cameras – one on the front and the other on the back. If a person stands and uses our application in front of a mirror while taking two pictures of their face with the two cameras, then we capture the person’s face in stereo vision. Measuring the required parameters for lens fitting at home provides a huge advantage. With this device, the time lapse between taking two pictures – one with the front and another with the back camera – is only 1 millisecond, which results in a significant improvement to our system.

We believe that the products which we will be taking to OPTI2020 are on track with the changing optical industry.

OPTI2020 - The international trade show for optics & design

OPTI2020 provides an opportunity for new companies to exhibit their products. This conference gathers innovative companies from various areas of the optical market. We participated in the event last year and were impressed by the volume of entrepreneurs who were looking for new solutions concerning their optical business.

Nowadays a tool should be fast, accurate and handy, and it is also crucial to follow the latest technology trends. Therefore, many of our customers would like to apply new digital solutions for their websites and in stores. For these reasons, we would like to officially release the MIRA Tabletop at the conference. Originally, optical devices were typically large, complicated to use and cost a lot of money. Our Tabletop will be handy, small, practical and not as expensive as the large devices. It will come with professional boxing, optionally equipped with lighting that makes sure the picture you are taking is strikingly vivid. We believe that Tabletop is a development that brings value for industry players, especially for optical chains.

When a traditional vocation meets 21st century technology

Today it is estimated that 2.5 billion people don’t have access to vision correction even though they need it. We know that the majority of these people are from developing countries – from China and India to be specific. In these countries traveling opticians are in charge of helping locals. These people have to cover huge territories, which is physically challenging. They use a methodology to measure lens fitting that is time-consuming.

We provide a solution, a software for them that is very simple. They can forget about the whole evaluation process, due to the fact that our software is completely automatic. Another advantage is that it fits into any pocket because it runs on a smartphone without any additional calibration frame. Therefore our solution provides seamless software-only lens fitting technology for traveling opticians.

Our flagship product, MIRA Tower will also be presented in January. Roughly 40 towers are up and operating from Japan to India, from France to Hungary and Romania. We are also preparing feedback from our current clients to share with you in person when you meet and greet. Our team is looking forward to meeting you in Hall C6 at booth No.126.
